MF5 Plasterboard Ceiling Sections
Metal frame ceiling systems are a popular choice for both residential and commercial properties. They are versatile, lightweight and strong, providing an efficient way to complete ceiling works. Suspended ceiling systems can also be used to hide services such as wires, plumbing and insulation, creating a clean finish.
Otherwise known as top hats for their shape, MF5 channels are connected perpendicular to the MF7 and MF6 ceiling supports, completing the metal grid onto which plasterboard can be fitted.
How to Install the MF5 Furring Channel
Installing the MF5 is a simple process – these channels are lightweight and easy to handle, and they clip neatly into the MF6 before being attached to the MF7.
You have two options for connecting the MF5 to the MF7, depending on the nature of your job. MF9 connecting clips are a popular and simple option, while you can also fix them with wafer head screws if more support is needed (for example, in residential apartments with changing pressures).
These top hat channels are also easy to cut or lengthen to the required size. If you need them extended, simply overlap two MF5s and fix them together with a wafer screw.

Our larger materials, plasterboard and ceiling grid/tiles are supplied in bulk quantities at competitive trade prices.
Order online for delivery to Andover, Winchester, Basingstoke and Reading for £50.00 ex. VAT (£60.00 inc. VAT).
For all other UK areas, please call or email us for a delivery quote based on the order size, weight and postcode.
Please note: We strongly recommend not to book any tradesman to carry out any work until after you have received your order in full in case any delays or discrepancies occur.
Returns
Items not required
Should you require to return any item, we will allow you to do so within 14 days of receipt of the item for a full refund.

Return Handling Fee
A handling charge of £10.00 (ex. VAT) per parcel will apply to returns.
For larger orders sent via pallet or dedicated/special courier a handling charge of 20% of the paid value of the returned goods will apply to returns.
A refund for returned items will be processed within 14 days of collection.
All items must be in their original packaging (where applicable) and unused.
Incorrect, Missing, Faulty or Damaged Items
Should we supply any incorrect or damaged items, or you discover an item is missing from delivery please notify us within 48 hours of receipt on 0333 005 7088 or email [email protected].
For incorrect or damaged items, we will then arrange to pick up the item and either send you out a replacement or process and refund within 48 hours.
