There are multiple types of wall ties to choose from, including cavity wall ties, window ties, timber frame ties, screw-in ties and slip ties, as well as wall starter kits. Many of our wall ties are available in various sizes, and with a large stock for bulk orders, it’s easy to get everything you need for your next job.
Wall ties are a crucial part of masonry construction, ensuring a secure connection between different leaves and structures of a building. Cavity wall ties are commonly used to join the two leaves of masonry construction, while various other wall ties, such as frame ties, offer similar solutions when attaching other materials.
Types of Wall Ties for Brick & Timber
Most wall ties are named by type, with each offering a slightly different solution depending on the materials being tied and the level of support needed. We stock many of the most popular styles, including:
- Type 2 Wall Ties: Heavy duty wall ties for domestic and commercial builds, particularly those greater than 10m tall.
- Type 4 Wall Ties: A common light duty wall tie popular for residential buildings and extensions.
- Type 6 Wall Ties: Popular masonry to timber wall tie used in properties and developments up to four storeys tall.
