How to Use Foam Expansion Joint Filler

In general terms, the size or width of the joint should be double the expected total movement, which allows for the compression of both the filler and the mastic.

Expansion joint fillers are classed as a group of products for weatherproofing, which are intended for use as functional expansion joint sealer agents in between gaps in masonry, brickwork and block work.

This particular masonry expansion joint foam is polyethene which is white, closed cell, non-cross-linked and low resistance. It is simple and efficient to cut to size and compact enough for easy storage.

It is also worth noting that this particular roll of masonry expansion joint foam can be used with most polyurethane contact adhesives.
